The CNA is required to have 12 hours of in-service per a full calendar year. The school provides these in-service courses for nursing assistants and home health aides. These in-service courses are scheduled throughout the year and vary in cost. Nursing Assistant program is approved by the Florida Board of Nursing (Chapter 464 Florida Statutes). CERTIFIED PHLEBOTOMY TECHNICIAN EXAMINATION
The school is a site for the Certified Phlebotomy Technician Examination given by the National Center for Competency Testing. Students are notified of examination dates as they are scheduled.
NURSING ASSISTANT CERTIFICATION (CNA) EXAM
Nursing Assistant students are eligible to sit for the Florida Nursing Assistant Licensing examination. The school is a test site for the Certified Nursing Assistant Examination. This exam is given two times a month. Students are notified of examination review courses and examination dates as they are scheduled.
CPR/FIRST AID CLASSES
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid classes are held every month at the school for medically related programs. CPR certification is awarded upon completion by the American Safety & Health Institute.
